Sculptural Curved Lattice Vase

Born from flowing lines and controlled chaos, this parametric twist vase captures motion frozen in time. Its sculptural form bends and narrows like a soft wave, creating a striking balance between art and function. Whether used as a vase, pen holder, or modern desk accent, it brings a touch of generative design into everyday spaces. Designed for seamless 3D printing, it’s a piece that transforms simple filament into something quietly captivating.

The Story: From Math to Motion

Every great design starts with a simple "what if."

As a complete beginner when it comes to 3D model design, I wanted to capture the fluid energy of a moving wave and freeze it in a solid form, just like a sculptural piece. I've always loved items that are not only pleasing to the eyes, but also functional.

This container isn’t just a static object; it’s a study in parametric movement. By blending a classic geometric twist with a rhythmic sinusoidal ripple, I’ve created a piece that plays with light and shadow from every angle.

Whether it’s holding your favorite pens on a desk or sitting as a centerpiece on a shelf, this Curved Lattice Vase brings a touch of mathematical elegance to your physical space.

• The Vision: A balance between organic flow and digital precision.

• The Texture: The vertical ripples aren't just for looks—they provide a tactile, "grippy" feel that makes the piece as satisfying to hold as it is to look at.

• Versatility: Scalable and sturdy, designed to transition seamlessly from a minimalist bud vase to a modern desk organizer.

took almost 9 hours to print this design. My 3D printer is so tiny that I don't even know what this can be used for though...
